Mass Choir

In 1986, members of the various choirs formed the Elevation Missionary Baptist Church Mass Choir. Today, the choir has a roster of over 125 voices that are anointed and appointed to fulfil the choir's mission.

The choir's mission statement is:

To strengthen the souls of Christians and disturb the souls of sinners, so they will ask: "What must I do to be saved?"
Through musical praise, the Mass Choir enhances worship services every 1st Sunday at 7:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. As the primary choir that travels with Pastor Carmichael, the Mass Choir accompanies him when he is invited to preach and minister to the community at-large. This choir participates in the Easter Cantata, Christmas Cantata, the upcoming Choir Day that is scheduled during the month of November, and countless other singing engagements.

The Mass Choir is under the superb leadership of Minister of Music McKinley Wooten, President Lannie Seawell, and Directress Kathy Stewart. Rehearsals are on Monday nights after the 3rd and 4th Sunday at 7:30 p.m., and on the Saturday before the 1st Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Disciples who are interested in becoming members of the choir are asked to contact Lannie Seawell.
